The “We are coming to you!” of the General Staff of the Air Force (GAF) is hosted in Chania, giving children and young people the opportunity to get to know the world of the Air Force and modern aviation technologies.
As announced by the CAA, from Friday 22 to Sunday 25 May, visitors can try out F-16 and F-35 flight simulators and virtual reality (VR) applications, which offer an experiential air mission experience.
Alongside, members of the Air Force will be in the area, informing the public about the training, daily life and career prospects offered by the Air Force.
Today, Saturday, May 23, the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General (I) Demosthenes Grigoriadis, the Mayors of Chania and Karpathos Panagiotis Simandirakis and Michael Fellouzis respectively, as well as members of the family of Captain (I) Konstantinos Iliakis, visited the site where the simulators have been deployed.
During the visit, the chief spoke with children and young people who participated in the activity, who shared their impressions of the flight simulator experience and their exposure to the world of the Air Force.
