Alexandros Giotopoulos arrived early this morning at the Piraeus Appeals Prosecutor’s Office and is returning to Korydallos Prison.

Alexandros Giotopoulos spent the night at the Athens Police Headquarters, where he was transferred from Korydallos Prison, following the decision of the 5th Criminal Division of the Supreme Court, which upheld the prosecutor’s appeal to overturn the ruling on his release.

As reported by the Hellenic Police, police authorities received the judicial council’s decision this afternoon regarding Giotopoulos’s return to prison.

At Korydallos Prison, the prison prosecutor, after speaking with him, ruled that the decision must be carried out, and so it was decided to transfer him to the GADA, where he spent the night.

Today he is being transferred to the Piraeus Appeals Prosecutor for the execution of the sentence and is expected to be taken to Korydallos Prison later today.
