Greek authorities are still searching for the roommate of the 25-year-old man who was murdered in Exarchia on Saturday, as they believe his testimony will shed light on the case.
The 25-year-old was murdered at the intersection of Kallidromiou and Emmanouil Benaki streets in Exarchia, with the perpetrator shooting him at very close range.
A “witness” to the murder was the victim’s dog, which remained in shock next to his body until municipal workers removed it.
The victim had a long criminal record in his home country for robberies and burglaries, and had also been charged with drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, assault, and fraud.
The 25-year-old lived in a rented apartment in Exarchia with a Georgian roommate, who is being sought by authorities to give a statement.
