The plenary session of the Parliament rejected the proposals of PASOK-Movement for Change, on the one hand, and of SYRIZA-PS and New Left, on the other hand, for the establishment of a Preliminary Investigation Committee on the “OPEKEPE Scandal” against the former Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Spyridon-Panagiotis Livanos and against the former Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food Mrs. Fotini Arabatzi.
Specifically, after a secret ballot:
– On ballot “1” for former MP and former Lt. Livanos:

Of the 286 voters, 286 ballots were found in the ballot box. 280 valid, 5 invalid, and 1 white.
“For” the PASOK proposal 127 voted “for”, “against” 152, “present” 1.
“In favour” of the proposal of SYRIZA and Nea Aristira voted 128, “against” 152.
– In ballot “2” for the MP for Serres and former Deputy Minister of AA&T, Mrs Fot Arampatzi:
Out of 285 voters, 285 ballots were found. 283 valid, 1 invalid and 1 white.
“For” the PASOK proposal 129 voted “for”, “against” 152, “present” 2.
“In favour” of the proposal of SYRIZA and Nea Aristira voted 130, “against” 152.
It is noted that according to the Rules of the House of Representatives, “the person against whom the proposal of prosecution is directed, if he is a member of parliament, does not participate in the vote”, i.e. Ms Arabatzi did not vote on her own case.
