In a public statement, Opinion Poll executive Zacharias Zoupis responded to the reaction to the company’s recent public opinion survey. At the same time, he clarified his position in the face of accusations that he had issued “threats” to the PASOK side.
Zoupis stressed that he was not deterred by the strong protests and that he would continue to carry out his scientific work with validity, reflecting the political scene. He noted that it is to be expected that some findings will not satisfy those who choose to be blind, as there will always be supporters who refuse to see reality for the sake of their party optimism.
As for the accusations of intimidation of PASOK, which were also reproduced by members of the movement, the Director of Research described them as completely false. He explained that his report concerned the legal reaction (out of court) of another company (Real Poll) against abusive attacks by an executive. He added that defending the dignity of a company through legal channels is the self-evident right of any organisation targeted for petty partisan reasons, and in no way constitutes a threat.
