The Union of Judges and Prosecutors issued a statement after a meeting held today (14/04), noting, among other things, that “the impunity of a few lawyers such as Zoe Konstantopoulou, Nikos Konstantopoulos and other imitators will be ended.”
In detail, the statement issued by the Union stressed. It will put an end to the impunity of a few lawyers like Z. Konstantopoulou of N. Konstantopoulos and other imitators of theirs, the intimidation they have exercised against judicial officials over the past few years.”
There will be a stop to the intimidation of a few lawyers, such as Z. Konstantopoulou of N. Konstantopoulou and other imitators.
“They will answer to the criminal courts for all the crimes they committed across the country. We will seek civil damages against them in the civil courts. We will send all the material we have at our disposal to the bar associations for their disciplinary control,” the statement continued.
As further underlined by judges and prosecutors: “Next month we will give an international dimension to the issue at the European association of judges. We call on every colleague who has suffered or will in future suffer an insult to his honour and dignity from such behaviour to address the association, which will now collectively take over the coordination of the proceedings.”
“Our tolerance is over, our patience is exhausted. No judicial officer will be left alone. Legitimacy to the end,” the statement concludes.
