U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters today that he has ordered an increase in tariffs on cars and trucks made in the European Union, accusing the Europeans of not abiding by the provisions of a trade deal reached between the U.S. and the EU.
In a post earlier on Truth Social, he had written that he would next week raise tariffs on cars and trucks from the European Union to 25 percent.
The announcement comes a day after the US president criticised German Chancellor Friedrich Murch.
