Following the recent announcements by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the commitment by the Ministry of Health, the activities of the “Prolavano” program will resume on September 1, 2026, with the issuance of new referrals, and are set to continue until the end of 2030.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Health, the current cycle of the program, which is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility, will conclude on June 30, 2026. Subsequently, by August 31, 2026, all necessary administrative, financial, and technical procedures for closing out the projects and actions funded by the Recovery Fund will be completed.
All referrals already issued under the current cycle of the “Prolavano” program will be honored through June 30, 2026.
The Ministry of Health urges citizens who have received a referral not to postpone their examinations and to schedule their appointment immediately with a participating provider.
“We also inform participating healthcare providers to continue serving citizens as usual until June 30, 2026, and to complete all required procedures forand registration of tests, in accordance with the instructions they will receive.
