Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressed his optimism that “we can overcome every obstacle, provided we have unity among us and faith in tomorrow and in our common course” in his message for the Resurrection and Easter. The Prime Minister noted that “problems, of course, are not lacking” but expressed his confidence that “we will overcome them again, just as we have overcome so many difficulties that we have turned into opportunities”. As Mr Mitsotakis said, we will overcome the problems “with the weapons of our dynamic economy. Our strong defence. The creativity of our people. And, above all, the cohesion of our society.”
The Prime Minister concluded by saying that our thoughts these days are with those who are not at the festive table but are vigilant in keeping the country safe, whether it is to keep the country safe or to care for patients in hospitals.
The Prime Minister’s entire message for the Resurrection and Easter is as follows:
‘Resurrection declares that light always wins over darkness. While Greek Easter is a timeless experience of optimism and hope. A special day that reminds us that we can overcome any obstacle, as long as we have unity among ourselves and faith in tomorrow and our common path.
Lambri also marks the coming of spring. It thus gives us greater strength in a world of upheaval and uncertainty. At the same time, it emphasises how important our conquests have been so far. With Greece walking steadily on the path of certainty and continuous progress.
There are certainly no shortage of problems. But we will overcome them again, just as we have overcome so many difficulties that we have turned into opportunities. Armed with our dynamic economy. Our strong defence. The creativity of our people. And, above all, the cohesion of our society.
In these times of joy, our thoughts are with those who will not be at the holiday table. Most of all, with those who are vigilant in keeping the country safe. To those who care for the patients in our hospitals. As well as to those who stand in the way of our own safety.
I wish health and strength to all Greek women and men everywhere. Happy Birthday, with optimism! Happy Easter!’
