The Greek Parliament approved by a large majority the request to lift the immunity of 13 MPs whose names are included in the European Public Prosecutor’s Office’s files on the OPEKEPE case.
The vote was by roll call, with 288 MEPs participating, while 9 were absent. Notably, no differences were recorded along party lines, suggesting broad consensus on the issue.
For each of the 13 cases, the result of the vote was shaped accordingly, approving the waiver of immunity and paving the way for further investigation of the case.
