Final lists of beneficiaries, beneficiaries and disqualified persons of the 2026-2027 Social Tourism Programme of the Public Employment Service (PES) were posted on Friday 22 May 2026 on its website www.dypa.gov.gr.
The programme, which involves 300,000 vouchers with a budget of €50 million, will start on 23 May 2026 and will run for 13 months, ending on 22 June 2027.
Recipients can spend up to 6 nights in accommodation of their choice from the “Register of Providers” of the DYPA, upon agreement with the provider, with a small private contribution.
In particular, in Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes, up to 10 nights can be stayed free of charge (zero private participation), while in the municipalities of Northern Evia and Evros, as well as in Thessaly, except Sporades, up to 12 nights can be stayed free of charge.
In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodations, ferry tickets are also subsidised. The private contribution amounts to 25%, while for disabled persons, tickets are free of charge.
As stated in a statement, the subsidy rates are increased by 20% for the peak month of August and for the Christmas (from 15 December 2026 to 14 January 2027) and Easter (from 23 April 2027 to 9 May 2027) periods.
The increased subsidy applies all year round for accommodation in North Evia, Evros and Thessaly, except for the Sporades.
For ferry travel, beneficiaries-beneficiaries print out the cheque from the e-services of DYPA and go to travel agencies, ticket agencies or e-ticket offices of the providers. There they present the printed cheque and request the issue of a social tourism ticket of the category to which they belong.
Note that no documentation is required for any category, with the exception of the category of large families.
The beneficiaries of last year’s program, who have not yet activated their cheques, can take a holiday until 30 June 2026.
