The proposal to revise the National Plan “Greece 2.0”, in the context of the final phase of the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Fund and in line with the guidelines issued by the Commission for the closure of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
The main purpose of the review is to finalise the milestones of the Greek Plan, with a view to ensuring the full and efficient use of the available European resources for the benefit of the economy and society.
The proposal includes adjustments, taking into account the progress to date in the implementation of projects and milestones and targeted reallocations of resources, without entailing any change in the overall financial framework.
In this context, value-added actions are being supported, such as:
- the reinforcement of the Mobile Health Teams (CMTs) with new portable telemedicine equipment,
- the expansion of the primary pre-seismic screening programme to an additional 2,000 sports facilities across the country,
- the supply of 130 new flexible electric garbage trucks for the region of Attica,
- participation in the Increase in the Share Capital of the Independent Electricity Transmission System Operator (ADMIE) for the implementation of the Ten-Year Development Plan 2025- 2034,
- the expansion of the microsatellite program with secure satellite connectivity systems and space infrastructure critical to national defense, civil protection, maritime, agriculture and other strategic sectors.
The review proposal is being put to the European Commission for assessment and final approval is expected by the European Union’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN)
