In the Special Programme for Fair Development Transition of the National Development Programme (NDP) 2021-2025, the regeneration of public spaces in the municipality of Kozani has been included, by decision of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.
The aim of the intervention, with a total public expenditure of 4,609,142 euros, is to improve the quality of life of residents, enhance accessibility, environmental upgrading and the safe use of spaces by all citizens.
Specifically, funding is foreseen for:
-Renovation of Eleftherias Square, Nikolaos Yoldasis Square and the central square of the Ano Komi Municipality of Kozani.
-Redevelopment of the road section of the south-western entrance of the community of Agia Paraskevi, D. Kozani.
-Rehabilitation works of tennis courts in Kouri and construction of a basketball court and a tennis court within the city of Kozani.
-The construction of a basketball court and a tennis court within the city of Kozani.
-Aesthetic and functional upgrading of the Agia Paraskevi park in the municipality of Karyditsa.
-Construction of playgrounds in the city of Kozani, and
-Upgrade of lighting in parks of the municipality of Kozani.
– Upgrading of parks in the municipality of Kozani.
The municipality of Kozani was designated as the beneficiary.
