The new MRB poll for OPEN’s main newscast shows a 14.3-point lead for the Southwest over PASOK.

The 14.3-point margin underlines the dominant position of the New Democracy party in the political scene.

In the reduction of valid votes, ND reaches 28.8%, while PASOK registers 14.5%. Hellenic Solution is the third force with 10.9%, a short distance from the Eleftherias Party, which scores 10.1%. The KKE is recorded at 7.7%, while SYRIZA is limited to 5%.

This is followed by the Voice of Logic with 4%, the Democrats with 3.2%, MPA25 with 2.8%, Niki with 2.3% and Nea Aristera with 1.2%. The percentage for “other party” is 9.5%, which shows both the split and the search for alternatives by some voters.

In the voting intention, New Democracy registered 22.5%, PASOK 11.3%, Hellenic Solution 8.5%, Eleftherias Eleftherias 7.9%, KKE 6% and SYRIZA 3.9%. They are followed by the Voice of Logic with 3.1%, the Democrats and MPA25 with 2.2%, Niki with 1.8% and Nea Aristera with 0.9%. The percentage of undecided votes remains high, reaching 22%, reflecting the fluidity of the political landscape.

However, there is also interest in the findings on the parties under formation. 72.5% say they would definitely or probably not vote for a party led by Alexis Tsipras, while 23.2% say they would definitely or probably not vote for a party led by Alexis Tsipras.

For a possible party headed by Maria Karystianou, 67.9% express a negative opinion and 25.1% a positive one. The prospect of a party under Antonis Samaras is even lower, with 83.1% saying they would not support it, compared to 13.3% who say they would vote for it.

In the question about the most suitable Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads with 23.1%, maintaining a significant distance from his rivals. Nikos Androulakis comes second with 8%, just ahead of Kyriakos Velopoulos with 7.9% and Zoe Konstantopoulou with 7.8%.

They are followed by Aphrodite Latinoopoulou with 5.1%, Dimitris Koutsoumpas with 2.3%, Yanis Varoufakis and Socrates Famellos with 1.7%, Stefanos Kasselakis with 1.6% and Dimitris Natsios with 1.4%. It is noteworthy, however, that 20.2% answered “none”, while 15.6% chose “other”.

Asked about Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ immediate moves, 51% believe that early elections should be called. 18.5% call for an immediate and broad reshuffle, while 14.4% prefer limited and targeted changes. Just 10.6% believe the government should continue without interventions.

Meanwhile, when asked what kind of government they would like after the next election, a self-reliant New Democracy party scored 17.8%, while an ecumenical government scored 17.3%. 6.1% choose a coalition government between ND and PASOK, the same percentage as that of a government of PASOK together with left-wing parties. 4.5% prefer an independent PASOK government, while the scenarios of cooperation with Hellenic Solution, Karastianos or Tsipras party are lower.

Negative assessment for accuracy and support measures

Accuracy is still the biggest problem for the government. 66.7% consider the government’s handling of accuracy and its economic consequences to be inadequate, particularly with regard to the cap on fuel and food company profits. 30.8% express a positive view.

The financial support measures for families with children and pensioners are also rated negatively, with 52.4% describing them as unsatisfactory, compared to 38% who rate them positively. These figures show that, despite ND’s lead, the increased cost of living remains a key factor in political attrition.

The OPEKEPE case also leaves a strong political footprint. 79.8% of respondents consider it necessary to set up a preliminary investigation committee to investigate possible responsibilities of former Rural Development Minister Spilios Livanos and former Deputy Minister Fotini Arabatzi. 14.9% express an opposing opinion.

At the same time, 60.7% say that the request of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office to lift the immunity of 13 sitting members of the New Democracy party has a decisive influence on their vote in the next elections. 35.7% believe that it is not a decisive factor.

Furthermore, 71.7% believe that it is wrong for the MPs for whom immunity was requested to be lifted in the context of the OPEKEPE case to stand again, while only 22.9% consider such a development to be correct.
