According to Pavlos Marinakis, the MPs for whom immunity has been lifted will be included in the ballot papers as normal.

Marinakis first referred to the speeches of the ND MPs, stating that they “exuded dignity before and above all else and respect.”

“People while defending their innocence want to be judged by justice so that no shadow is left on them,” he added.

.
As Marinakis said: “There is no question as to their participation on the ballot papers, they will be on the ballot papers as normal.”

They will not be included in the list of candidates in the elections.
It is noted that in the morning Makis Voridis, speaking to Parapolitika 90.1 radio station and the show “Against Microphones” with Vassilis Skouris and Sotiris Xenakis, stressed that, in his opinion, all cases should be filed. “If they are called, a trial date will be set and there as defendants will appear the beneficiaries, officials, etc. There, who is to say that someone will not seek adjournments? That takes us to next year, spring-summer 2027, so they will go to the election as defendants. They have to be on the ballot, otherwise it’s a violation of the presumption of innocence, in my opinion.

Institutionally, anybody who wants to be, should be able to stand for election,” he said.

On the same radio station, the General Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of New Democracy, Yannis Bougas, expressed the same view, saying “The MPs whose names are included in the OPEKEPE case files should be candidates.”
