Starting tomorrow, the process of issuing eligibility certificates for the new “Home Renovation,” with a total budget of 500 million euros, which aims to renovate and make minor energy upgrades to older homes.

Citizens will be able to use their Taxisnet codes to check whether they meet the eligibility requirements, so they can prepare to submit applications, which will begin on September 1.

The program offers a subsidy of up to 95% of the total cost of the work, with a maximum grant of 36,000 euros per residence or 300 euros per square meter. The highest subsidy rate is provided for homes located in mountainous and island regions, as well as for households belonging to vulnerable social groups, such as large families, single-parent families, and people with disabilities.

Homes with a building permit issued by December 31, 1990, and a floor area of up to 120 square meters are eligible. For families with three or more children, the limit increases to 150 square meters.

At the same time, the residences must be classified as energy class C or higher, must not have been included in a corresponding program after January 1, 2020, and must not be used for short-term rentals.

Both residences that remained vacant during the 2024–2025 period and residences used as primary or secondary residences are eligible for the program.

Applications will be evaluated in stages. Priority will initially be given to applications with lower subsidy amounts, while those approaching the maximum aid limit of 36,000 euros will be reviewed subsequently.
