A post against Nikos Androulakis accusing him that “he can accuse everyone and wag his finger as the preacher of morality but he can no longer continue to do so” made this Thursday morning Adonis Georgiades on the occasion of a publication according to which a few days before the first Memorandum the Land Registry rented a property owned first by his father and then by the President of PASOK himself, renovated it with state money and since then the State has paid him 1.2 million euros.
.
“And he also keeps this money in foreign banks as we have now all learned… Is all this legal? Probably. But are they also ethical? Certainly not!” writes the Health Minister.
“Before you accuse others again, look at yourself in the mirror, Mr. President,” concludes Georgiades in his post about Nikos Androulakis.

“Is it all legal and ethical?”

Georgiades also referred to the issue in a TV interview, stating that “it is 2010 a few days before George Papandreou’s announcement in Kastelorizo. PASOK then and Nikos Androulakis a high ranking official, and the Land Registry decides to rent property from Androulakis’ father and then from the President of PASOK while there was a lower offer. As part of the tender, they put in – apparently photographically – to renovate the building with taxpayers’ money and has since collected 1.2 million euros. Is that what is legal and ethical? You are a party leader and you have collected EUR 1.2 million from the public purse? Were you a member of the government that cut salaries and pensions and took EUR 1.2 million from the State? No, Mr Androulakis. Because you are wagging your finger and playing the white and innocent and you have to be crystal clear when you are not – you have the 1 million abroad – to lower the tone a little.”The publication
According to the mononews article, the case starts in 2009 when it was decided after a tender to lease a 773 sq.m. building to house the services of the Land Registry in Heraklion, Crete, in a building in the “Tripiti” location of the Katsampa district and on Meteora Street, consisting of a 257 sq.m. basement, ground floor 257 sq m, first floor 257 sq m, owned by the father of the president of PASOK, Marinos Androulakis and a well-known party official, as well as his mother.
The agreed rent is 10.000 euros per month i.e. 12.9 euros per square meter with the contract between the two parties being signed on 20 April 2010 – 16 days before George Papandreou’s announcement from Kastelorizo and while Nikos Androulakis was a member of the PASOK Central Committee – by Marinos Androulakis, Kalliopi Androulakis and the representative of the company Land Registry S.A. Mr. L.A.
According to the publication, an offer had been submitted in this tender for a basement, ground floor and three floors, with a total area of 1,400 square meters with a monthly rent of 7,500 euros.
As reported in 2011 the property was passed to Nikos Androulakis through parental provision and in 2013 the full transfer was completed with the resignation of his father from the usufruct. From that point on, the current President of PASOK became the direct beneficiary of the contract. And as of 2022, he now personally appears as a contractor with the Greek State, while he is already a party leader.
The publication also noted that the State also carried out renovation work on the property as the contract states that “the building is in good condition and has an elevator… The lessors provide from today permission to the lessee to make any additional non-agreed additions or improvements, which will be the sole responsibility of the lessee.”
