Health Minister Adonis Georgiades has announced the “biggest tender in recent years for the country’s health structures.”

It is a notice for 1,131 positions for specialist doctors in the NHS, which the minister said was signed earlier today.

As he says, these posts include 63 for permanent medical staff specialising in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, “to substantially strengthen the National Network of Mental Health Services (NMSHS)”.

“The announcement of 1,131 positions for medical specialists in the health care sector signed today is the largest announcement in recent years for the country’s health care structures.
