Christos Fotopoulos, a former member of parliament for the Southwestern Democratic Party of Greece, has breathed his last at the age of 98.

“In his long political and professional career, Christos Fotopoulos developed a dynamic public presence, worked consistently for his homeland and for the Party, was distinguished for his integrity, diligence and ethics and was loved by his fellow citizens. We extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones,” the statement said.

Christos Fotopoulos was born in 1928 in Gavros of Nafpaktia and was a graduate of the Military School of Evelpidon, reaching the rank of Lieutenant General (retired). He was a member of the Parliament of Etoloakarnania from 1977 to 1989.
