In a post on social media regarding the second case file concerning the OPEKEPE, New Democracy MP Fotini Arabatzi says she is putting herself at the disposal of the competent authorities and asks for the establishment of a preliminary committee, in order – as she points out – to prove that the charges against her lack basis.

At the same time, she stresses that during her tenure at the Ministry of Rural Development she acted with full respect for legality and assures that no damage to the State or European funds has occurred.

The whole post:

“I place myself, without any reservation, at the disposal of any competent authority in order to fully investigate the case concerning me in the second OPEKEPE case.
I even ask my colleagues to vote for the establishment of a preliminary committee so that it can be proven that the accusations against me are totally unfounded and unjust.
I have not committed the slightest crime against the public interest and the money of the European Union.
During my term of office at the Ministry of Rural Development I acted with respect for legality, without causing the slightest damage to either the Greek State or Community funds.
That is why I have nothing to fear and nothing to hide.
I will continue to defend the real interests of the farmers and livestock farmers of Serres and the whole country.
The truth will shine!”
