Elena Akrita criticized Alexis Tsipras for his statements that the MPs who want to follow him in his new project should resign.

The SYRIZA MP claimed that the K.O. SYRIZA is the most active in parliament, with the top ten MPs in Vouliwatch belonging to the opposition party.

So, Elena Akrita questioned the necessity of such a resignation claiming: “The leader who put SYRIZA on its feet and came to make it a government, now asks that our own parliamentary group be weakened in this violent way in order to frame his new project?”

In another post, she refers to freedom of expression, noting that some may not want MPs openly expressing their opinions and that Tsipras’ particular stance is “foul”.
