The 41-year-old man, who has confessed to the murder of 39-year-old Vasiliki in Kalamata, has been sent to prison.
According to messinialive, during his apology he claimed that he was surprised and acted in a state of defense, as – as he said – the 39-year-old woman attacked him with a knife while he was lying on the bed. He claimed a struggle ensued between them, during which he managed to disarm her and then, he said, “blurred” and attacked her with the same knife.
In regard to the bug that had been placed in the 39-year-old’s home and vehicle, actions that are considered illegal, he reportedly claimed that he was not motivated by jealousy, but that it was aimed at collecting evidence to claim sole custody of the children, according to his lawyer George Kamvysis.
At the same time, the 41-year-old’s defence said the couple had already separated since the summer of 2025, although they still formally resided in the same house.
