Murch: European agreement on customs tariffs with the US shows that the EU is “keeping its commitments”

German Chancellor Friedrich Murch today welcomed the compromise reached within the European Union to implement the agreement reached last year with the United States.

“We have reached an agreement on the implementation of the EU-US tariff agreement. Europe is delivering on its commitments,” he wrote in X.

U.S. President Donald Trump had given Europeans until July 4 to ratify the deal reached after negotiations held over the summer of 2025 in Turnberry, Scotland.
