With the votes for the new Political Committee, interventions by European officials and the closing speech of the President of the New Democracy and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the 16th Ordinary Congress of the party will conclude today, Sunday 17 May.
According to the schedule, voting for the election of the members of the Political Committee will take place from 13:00 to 17:00.
From 09:00 to 11:00 there will be speeches by delegates under the thematic section “2030: Greece Strong, New Democracy Ahead”
Secretary of the Political Committee, Stelios Kontadakis, will speak at 11:00, while immediately afterwards there will be interventions by representatives of European institutions and the Republic of Cyprus. In particular, a video greeting by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the former President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, will be shown.
This will be followed by speeches by the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, the Secretary General of the EPP, Dolores Montserrat and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus and President of DISY, Anita Demetriou.
The proceedings of the Congress will conclude with a speech by the Prime Minister and President of the New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
