“We are progressive in deeds, our opponents in words and demagogic slogans”, Nikos Papathanasis said, recalling that this is what Constantine Karamanlis said at the first congress of the Southwest in Halkidiki.

The Deputy Minister of Economy at the 16th conference of the New Democracy Party stressed that today, in an era of unprecedented changes, Greece is not just following developments but is participating, challenging and winning in an environment of stability, with a strong economy.

“We made a commitment and cut 83 taxes. We created hundreds of thousands of jobs, increased wages and pensions, digitised the state,” he added, among other things, while referring to the programmes running through the Recovery Fund.

“Greece will soon not be the most indebted country in the EU,” Mr. Papathanasis, noting that not only is the public debt being reduced but at the same time disposable income is being boosted.

“This policy has a name. It is Kyriakos Mitsotakis. It has a compass of commitments to the citizens and proof of our work,” Papathanasis stressed.
