With the participation of top executives, international personalities and focusing on the specification of the programmatic axes for “Greece 2030”, the work of the 16th Ordinary Congress of New Democracy continues today, Saturday.
Following the opening speech of the Prime Minister and Party President Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the focus of the second day is on the analysis of the main political priorities. The focus is on economic stability, strengthening social cohesion and accelerating the country’s digital transformation.
The special thematic debate on Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, in which the Prime Minister will participate, is of particular importance, highlighting the role of new technologies in shaping the development model of the next decade.
The programmatic part of the day is developed through eight parallel thematic sessions, in which Ministers, MPs and specialised officials analyse the main policy axes:

“Strong Greece”
“Strong economy – Strong Greece”
“2030: Greece strong, New Democracy ahead”
“Greece, a destination for all – Major projects and infrastructure”
“Modern state for all”
“Safe Greece”
“With young people we are building the Greece of the future”
The morning programme also includes speeches by the party’s vice-presidents, Kostis Hatzidakis and Adonis Georgiades, as well as interventions by international guests such as the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Christodoulides, and the President of the European People’s Party, Manfred Weber.
In terms of organisation, according to the Central Election Committee (CEC), the submission of nominations for the new Political Committee will take place from 14:00 to 16:00, ahead of tomorrow’s voting which will conclude the work of the congress.
