PASOK President Nikos Androulakis is making a supplementary declaration of his personal financial interests, as he announced in a letter to the Chairman of the Control Committee for Personal Financial Interests.
In his letter, he says that, due to an omission and negligence of his accountant, bank accounts he maintains abroad were not included in his declaration, although – as he notes – they have been properly declared for more than ten years.
“I was surprised to find that, by mistake and through the obvious negligence of my accountant, my bank accounts abroad, which have been declared regularly for many years, were not included,” he says.
It is recalled that, according to Mr. Androulakis’sθεν Geschaefe, which was made public today, his deposits appeared to be reduced by about one million euros.

Dear Mr President,
Following the publication of the asset declarations of politicians, I was surprised to find that, by mistake and through the obvious negligence of my accountant, my bank accounts abroad, which have been declared continuously for over a decade, were not included.
I would like to point out that the details of these accounts are not automatically obtained from foreign banking institutions, which is where my accountant’s omission is identified.
