Greece is making an early repayment, Minister of Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis said today.
Talking to Reuters, Pierrakakis said specifically that Greece would next month (June) make an early debt repayment of €6.9 billion against the first bailout loans it had received from European countries.
.
“Through Greece’s early repayment programme, public debt is expected to be further reduced to close to 130% of GDP in 2027,”
the minister said.
He even gave credit to the Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA) team for their work in reducing debt, saying they are the “silent heroes” of the Greek recovery.
