Stamatis Poulis, Adviser to the Minister of Health and First Deputy MP for the South of Greece.D. of West Attica, on the occasion of Pavlos Polakis’ post today on the social media he has, made the following statement:
“Today, for the umpteenth time, Pavlos Polakis is issuing an “invitation” to participate in view of the continuation of his trial tomorrow for the offence of libel committed against me.
It should be recalled that he has already been convicted as a slanderer and libelererer in the first instance and the poor man is struggling to achieve a statute of limitations with legalistic tricks and lies, hiding behind alleged “non-existence of malice” on his part, as at the time when he was insulting and slandering me he himself had filed complaints against me.
So according to Polakis we can selectively target anyone we want to denounce and because there is a complaint against them we can then call them names! Nice modus!
This is exactly what he continues to do today and expects the judiciary and the institutions to say thumbs up to him…
So because he wants to inform his “people”, I in turn want to inform the rest of the world that Paul Polakis attempted to turn the hearing into a circus.
Where his supporters attempted to videotape and take pictures during the hearing, resulting in the chair calling the police and initiating an autopsy for the illegal videotaping.
This is who he is, this is what he does, this is what he invites.
For my part, because one of us has to be the serious one in this process, I remind you that Paul Polakis’ allegations against me have been investigated and tried by the judiciary and I have been solemnly and definitively acquitted of what he fabricated against me.
Let him digest this no matter how hard he finds it!
Tomorrow what is being adjudicated is whether the judiciary will allow insults and slander to be included as a normality of behaviour of political figures and therefore not to bother any of us and any of our institutions
