“With due honor and religious reverence”, the President of the Greek Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, received today at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is on an official visit to Greece.
As stated in a relevant announcement of the Parliament, “upon the arrival of His Holiness, the President of the Parliament expressed the deep respect of the State and the Greek Parliament for the person of the Primate of Orthodoxy, underlining the decisive role of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the preservation of the spiritual unity and cultural heritage of Hellenism.”
Tomorrow, Bartholomew will address a Special Session of the Plenary Session of the Parliament, at the invitation of the President of the Greek Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis. The meeting will be held in the presence of the President of the Republic, Constantinos Tasoulas.
