Difficulties in oil supply due to Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz because of the US-Israeli war against the Islamic Republic have “huge implications” for the Asia-Pacific region, Japan’s Prime Minister Shanae Takayichi said today, expressed during an official visit to Australia.

Following a meeting in the nation’s capital with her Australian counterpart Anthony Albanesi, Takaichi noted that the governments of the two countries would respond with a “sense of urgency” to guarantee their energy supplies.
