Tomorrow, Wednesday, the meeting of the Council of Ministers under the Prime Minister – The issues on the agenda

Tomorrow, Wednesday at 16:00, the Council of Ministers will meet under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Mansion of Maximou.

The issues that will be the focus of the Cabinet meeting are the following:

-Presentation by the Vice President of the Government and Minister of State Costis Hatzidakis and Deputy Prime Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis of the National Strategy for Regional and Local Planning,
-Briefing by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis on the progress in the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Fund,
-Presentation by the Minister of Justice George Floridis and Deputy Minister Yannis Bougas of the legislative initiatives of the Ministry of Justice: a) Fund for Financing Court Buildings and Digital Infrastructure, b) Measures for the protection of persons who engage in public participation actions from strategic lawsuits to discourage public participation – Implementation of Directive 2024/1069,
-Presentation by the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni of the draft law for the establishment of a Professional School of Cinema and Audiovisual Creation,
-Representation by the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis on the adoption of the Act of the Council of Ministers on the classification of the railway accident of 28 February 2023 in Tempe as a case of particular social importance and on the application of Article 11 of Law No. 5293/2026 on the non-exercise of legal remedies and on the waiver of legal remedies exercised,
-Presentation by the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni on the development of the audiovisual creative economy in Greece,
-Representation by the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis on the approval of the report on the activities of the Public Debt Management Agency for the year 2025.
