Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis paid a visit to Vasilissis Olgas Avenue on the occasion of the completion of the redevelopment works in the area.
The Prime Minister was welcomed by Culture Minister Lina Mendoni and former Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis, in whose presence a report was made on the interventions that have been implemented.
The works at Vasilissis Olgas were completed in early April, after a period of about six years. The redevelopment project was initiated by Kostas Bakoyannis during his tenure in the Municipality of Athens.
This particular intervention was the subject of intense political controversy during its implementation, both between the municipal authority and his successor, and with the central government.
