With funding of 701.612 euros from the Special Programme for Fair Development Transition of the National Development Programme (NDP) 2021- 2025, the creation of a photovoltaic power plant in the area of Lagoura in the municipality of Argos Orestiko, Kastoria, begins, following a decision by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.
Specifically, the construction, with an energy tracking and storage system, is intended to meet a significant portion of the energy needs of the region’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, an important public health and environmental protection infrastructure with increased and ongoing electricity needs. Completion of the project will ensure a reduction in energy costs and carbon dioxide emissions.
The capacity of the PV plant will be 199.50KW, while the energy storage system will consist of 2 HVS (High Voltage Storage) lithium batteries with a capacity of 2.56kWh each.
The beneficiary of the project is the municipality of Argus Orestiko.
