A heated debate took place in the Greek Parliament on Wednesday (22/04), during the debate on the waivers of immunity of MPs involved in the OPEKEPE case.
The parliamentary representative of the New Democracy party, Dimitris Markopoulos, and the President of the Eleftherias Party, Zoe Konstantopoulou, crossed fire, with the tension rising considerably in the plenary session.
The situation escalated when Konstantopoulou repeatedly interrupted Mr. Markopoulos, who asked for a time freeze on his speech, claiming that he was not allowed to finish his statement.
In the end, it took the intervention of the chairman of the meeting, George Georgantas, who called on the President of the Electoral Alliance to stop the interruption, describing it as an “interruption”.
