He described the handling of the case as “strange”, noting that although the investigation is perfectly legitimate, questions arise as to the consistency of the actions.

Referring to the OPEKEPE file, he noted that it includes dialogues and names of MPs from other parties, such as Pavlos Polakis and Manolis Hnaris, claiming that they are allegedly involved in similar cases.

Kyranakis questioned why the same procedure, such as the lifting of immunity, is not followed for these cases as well, leaving accusations of selective treatment.

The Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure made a clarifying post from his personal social media account and stressed that he had mistakenly mentioned the name of Mr. Hnaris, but it was Mr. Parasiri, attaching the relevant extract of the case file.
