Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis tonight had telephone conversations with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which he was briefed on the latest developments in Lebanon and expressed satisfaction with the achievement of a 10-day ceasefire between the two countries.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis stressed the need for the Lebanese government to exercise full sovereignty over all the country’s territories.

He noted that Greece maintains a strategic relationship with Israel and excellent relations with Lebanon, while expressing our country’s readiness to assist wherever required.

Finally, he stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire for stability and peace in the wider region.
