Adonis Georgiades took a particularly sharp tone in an interview on Wednesday night, turning his fire against European prosecutor Pope Papandreou.
On the occasion of the new case files concerning OPEPEKE, the health minister referred to the leaks surrounding the case, noting: “Leaks on issues that affect politics and democracy are forbidden. What does it mean to bring a dossier in instalments to Parliament?”

At the same time, Adonis Georgiades criticised the operation of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, saying that “the European Public Prosecutor’s Office is not a serious institution”, while he argued that political manipulations are being made on its part.

As he also said, “When I saw the file, I called Kyriakos Mitsotakis and said that something is going on here, it is not a serious file.”
In a more personal assessment, he argued that “Mrs Papandreou is blackmailing for the renewal of her term of office. You will see that in the end she will put the cases on the file. Otherwise she is irrelevant.”
