“Strange and unacceptable” is how the Health Minister describes the procedure followed by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the OPEKEPE case.
Specifically, Adonis Georgiades denounces “direct political interference in the country” regarding the transmission to Parliament of the files concerning the 20 New Democracy MPs regarding OPEKEPE.
“Direct political interference in the country. Leaks from September about something that finally came in April. Now new leaks about one, two, three etc. files being prepared etc. unthinkable and judicially unthinkable. And of course a Parliament that is thus constantly held captive,” he notes in a post on X.
“If he has something this serious he has had all the time in the world to send it all in together. The institution of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office is new and perhaps it has not yet found its feet, but as a practice it is both strange and unacceptable and you cannot fail to see that.”
Direct political interference in the country. Leaks from September about something that finally came in April. Now new leaks about one, two, three etc. files being prepared etc. unthinkable and judicially inconceivable. And of course a Parliament that stays like this all the time…
