A “multi-tool” for engineers was created within the framework of the “IsZEB Certify – PEA” energy efficiency calculation and energy classification platform for buildings, the software of which was developed by “IsZEB”, the cluster with the National Centre for Research and Technological Development (NERTH) as main founding partner and 16 other institutions and companies in the group. The platform, which utilises the computing engine of the TEE-KENAK software, was positively evaluated and approved as a suitable computing tool for carrying out the relevant calculations, by a recent decision of the competent ministry. “This important recognition came from the General Directorate of the Inspectors and Auditors Body of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MoEEC), confirming the compliance of the computational tool with the current institutional and technical framework,” as noted in a statement issued today by the CECTA.
In addition, IsZEB Certify incorporates, at no additional cost, the calculation of the Smart Readiness Index (SRI) of buildings. This is a European methodology, which is expected to play a key role in the coming years in the overall assessment of buildings in Greece, in the context of the green and digital transition. In addition, the platform provides the possibility to assess a building according to the IsZEB Standard and have it certified by qualified engineers. The IsZEB labeling aims to upgrade the intelligence, energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings throughout their life cycle, enhancing their overall value and competitiveness. “As a Digital Innovation Hub, IsZEB is actively contributing to the development of a sustainable, efficient and technologically mature building stock.”
