A particularly topical and interesting political event took place on Friday 3 April in Kastoria. At the initiative of the President of the IEP ND Kastoria, Vassilis Vellidis, the founders of the “Truth Group” Kostas Doganis and Kimonas Benos, were present at the event, opening a substantial discussion on the phenomenon of fake news and their role in the modern political scene.
Maria Antoniou, MP for Kastoria, was present, stressing the importance of proper information. The event was also attended by the deputy secretary of the Organizing Committee, Stergios Adam, the President of the IEPC of Kastoria, Vassilis Vellidis, as well as the Presidents of the DIMTOs of Kastoria and Prespes.
The participation of the ONNED was also dynamic, while several people and executives filled the café-bar, showing the keen interest in how misinformation is recognized and dealt with today.
The event concluded with a fruitful dialogue, highlighting the need for political debate with arguments and, above all, with truths.
