Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his satisfaction with the results of the G7 summit, to which he had been invited to attend, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, thanking the leaders on social media for “their ideas on how to compel Russia to achieve peace”.
“The priorities are clear: increasing the number of air defense missiles, granting licenses for their production, implementing a winter aid program, and intensifying pressure on Russia,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
“It is important for the United States to be ready to provide support in these areas,” Zelenskyy added in another post, which included a photo of him speaking with Donald Trump during the meeting. Zelenskyy also stated that he discussed with G7 leaders several proposals aimed at strengthening sanctions and “political pressure” against Russia, particularly regarding its shadow fleet. “I think Donald Trump can do it,” he argued, adding that European countries, which want to do so “in coordination with the United States,” can also do so.
