The new think tank Synergia took its first step just last year and has already become a powerful reservoir of ideas and proposals for the future of our country. The think tank was started by Orestis Omran, an international lawyer, and a group of scientists and professionals from Greece and abroad who want to produce concrete proposals for the country’s policy on issues related to governance.
A very important point in Synergia’s journey was the publication of a collective volume entitled “Governance Proposals for the Greece of the Future”.In this book, documented and realistic solutions were written for energy and climate, technology, economy, foreign policy and security, demographics, institutions and the welfare state. But Synergia did not stop there. It wants to talk to society and move the conversation from the paper to the public sphere.

Synergia is doing many events and has already expanded very quickly, in the past months it travelled to Crete and a few days ago to Thessaloniki, but at the same time it has a strong presence abroad, with its latest event to present the proposals and content of the edited volume at the LSE in London.

Also, with the “Synergia Town Halls” initiative, he wants to get citizens to participate in an open dialogue on the future of the country. With this outward-looking move, it aims to listen to citizens and co-design proposals. It moves confidently by listening to the need of society, in a field where meaningful dialogue and realistic solutions are becoming increasingly urgent.

α
It is still too early to draw conclusions, but Synergia’s progress so far has admittedly impressed us and shows that it is expanding rapidly and methodically. The interesting thing now is to see how this momentum will develop and how far it can go. What is certain is that Synergia has a clear orientation and a strong involvement of young scientists, which could be very important for the future.

α

Because, as Synergia says, the future has already begun.
