A 77-year-old man in a village of Giannitsa, in Pella, has reported being the victim of a “bookkeeper” scam.
Using the pretext of recording money and valuables, the elderly man was persuaded and handed over 10.000 euros in cash and valuables, with an estimated value of 100,000 euros.
The fraud occurred last Sunday and was reported to authorities the following morning. Since then, investigations have been carried out by officers from the Pella Crime Investigation and Detection Department.
