Shortly before the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 begins, Vicky Leandros was interviewed by Aris Kavatziki and the Buongiorno show, revealing that she will appear as one of the special presentations of the first semi-final, in which Greece and Akyla will participate.
The famous artist openly declared her support for the Greek delegation, while also referring to her own reappearance on the stage of the competition.
As she explained, she will be participating as a guest performer: she will open the programme and will perform again the song she sang when she was only 15 years old, representing Luxembourg.
At the same time, she left open the possibility of showing footage from that first participation, noting that she does not know the details of how the artistic part is set up and that the final presentation will be a surprise even for her.
Talking about Akila and the track “Ferto”, she said she has heard it and liked it a lot, estimating that it has a serious chance of standing out in the ratings.
Finally, she expressed her belief that the artist will give his best on stage, singing with passion and dedication, and revealed her next plans, including a big concert in Halkidiki on August 15.
