A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday morning on Vouliagmenis Avenue, at the height of the Old Airport Elliniko, in the direction of Glyfada, causing a major traffic jam.
According to initial information, a truck carrying a bucket veered off course under unclear circumstances and overturned, resulting in the driver being trapped.
In order to extricate him, the intervention of rescue crews was required, who proceeded to cut the vehicle’s bonnet. The driver was extricated and transported for necessary medical examinations.
Traffic at the scene is being conducted with difficulty as only the left lane remains open and the traffic jam extends for about four kilometres.
Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution and choose alternative routes where possible.
