Sadness and shock has been caused in the local community by another fatal road accident that claimed the life of a young man aged just 17. The tragic incident occurred on Friday night, April 17, shortly before midnight and specifically at 23:45, in Aliveri Evia, at the intersection leading to the Aliveri Health Centre. Under unclear circumstances, the motorbike driven by the 17-year-old, of Albanian origin, collided with an ambulance that at that time was returning from Chalkida.
The collision was violent, resulting in the underage driver losing his life instantly, plunging his family into mourning and causing deep anguish to the local community.
