A tragic case occurred on the afternoon of Friday 15 May 2026 in the area of Gallipoli in Piraeus, when a young woman aged 24 died after falling from the seventh floor of an apartment building.
The incident happened on Kallirois Street, where the woman ended up in the building’s uncovered area after falling from a great height. Authorities were immediately called and the 25-year-old (as reported in some reports) was taken unconscious to Tzaneio Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Initial indications point to suicide.
