The funeral of Nikos Tagaras is to take place in Corinth today at noon.

The funeral service for the late Deputy Minister of Environment will be held at 13:00 at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Apostolos Pavlos, while the body has been in the church since 10:00 in the morning. After the ceremony, the burial will take place in his hometown of Chiliomodi, Corinthia.

The funeral will be attended by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.

Nikos Tagaras, who was elected MP in Corinthia with the New Democracy party, served as Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis from 5 August 2020 until his death, while he also served as Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy in the government of Antonis Samaras.
