Investigations are underway to locate businessman Spyros Retsa, whose trail went missing in Aliveri, with new evidence and testimonies complicating the case.
According to what his wife told the show “Light at the Tunnel”, the missing man was allegedly taken by taxi to the isolated beach “Πεθαmenos”, where his arrival was recorded by security cameras.
However, there is no record of a second vehicle, although witnesses say another taxi appeared shortly afterwards, which appeared to be waiting for someone in the area.
New questions about the route
A witness reportedly testified to authorities that he saw a second taxi parked in the area from midday to the afternoon of the same day. The fact that the vehicle has not been spotted on cameras raises new questions about the route the businessman took.
Our concern is also raised by the fact that Spyros Retsas did not have a mobile phone with him, making it unclear how he could have called a second taxi. His wife does not rule out the possibility that his move was premeditated.
The authorities’ investigation is extensive, involving the Fire Department, specially trained dogs, drones, divers and Coast Guard officials, with no clues as to his whereabouts so far.
New information and family anguish
New evidence in the case is proof of purchase found in his vehicle. According to the family, the businessman had visited a supermarket a few hours before his disappearance and had bought incense and charcoal, but it was not found in the house or elsewhere.
His wife is trying to support their four children, who are anxiously awaiting any news about their father. In a public appeal, she is calling for the investigation to continue so that answers can be found.
“These situations hit you like a bolt of lightning. Children don’t talk about what has happened, they don’t externalize their feelings. I would like to believe that Spyros went somewhere to calm down and that he will return at some point,” he said.
As he noted, he decided to go public, even though he admires Angeliki Nikolouli, because – as he says – he has no other choice: “I want to know what happened to our man. I owe it to my children.”
